On the Moonscape Hiking Tour, you will visit Los Volcanes Nature Park and Timanfaya National Park - protected areas which represent the recent and historical volcanism of Lanzarote because they are covered by the eruptions that took place in 1730-36 and 1824.

Hike along a very informative route where visitors will be able to discover the amazing world of volcanoes when you walk across lava flows or ascend to volcanic cones where it's possible to find spectacular craters, lava tunnels, lava lakes, etc.

All the volcanic structures are well conserved because, due to the arid climate of Lanzarote, the evolution of vegetation is very slow. Therefore, the landscape you find is like a huge open-air museum of volcanology.

In short, this visit will help you to understand how our planet was millions of years ago and how its inner forces work and, at the same time, marvel at the landscape of another world.

Please reserve online, or call us toll-free at 800-750-2859. There is a $3.95 processing fee per order. This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order.
There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown includes any and all taxes, fuel surcharges, and service fees. There are no additional charges.

Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

This tour does not operate on December 25 or January 1.

~ Lanzarote is 37 miles long and 12 miles wide located at the Northeast end of the Canary Islands.
~ Los Volcanes Nature Park and Timanfaya National Park are protected areas.
~ The volcanic island of Lanzarote also has several beautiful white sandy beaches.
~ Lanzarote has a mild dry climate (and lack of erosion) meaning that the Volcanic Landscape appears much as it did just after the eruptions.

~ We do not recommend these tours for people with excess weight, heart problems, or mobility problems.
~ This tour is low-medium degree of difficulty.
~ For this tour route, it is essential to wear laced shoes like trainers or hiking boots because we walk over volcanic rocks with a rough surface.
~ The minimum age for this tour is 7 years old, unless the parents carry their baby (infant to 24 months) in a baby carrier.
